Pittsburgh Hornets Early 60s Replica Hockey Jersey
The Pittsburgh Hornets were a successful prelude to big league hockey coming to the Steel City. They spent a few decades at the long-gone Duquesnue Gardens and when they were re-launched in 1961, they opened up as the first hockey team to take the ice at the Civic Arena, aka the Igloo. In a tale made for a movie, they won the title in their final season before they would fold with the impending start of the Penguins in Pittsburgh.
We are proud to release Pittsburgh Hornets jerseys as our latest release to commemorate an old time team from the Steel City! We've recreated the Hornets' home sweaters from the early 60s (approx 61-64) featuring their famous logo and unique stars and stripe design.
This jersey is a cut and sew jersey, meaning the stripes and logo will be fully embroidered. Stars will be heat pressed. It also includes a lace neck for the true old school hockey feel. If you would like a jersey with name and number, please order the custom pre-order jersey.
Our jerseys are modern replicas that capture the spirit of the vintage logos and styles from these teams. They are tough and durable for playing use while also high quality, comfortable jerseys for fans.
