After spending more than three decades in the town of Muskegon in Western Michigan, the Muskegon Lumberjacks packed up and moved south to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1992. It was as part of the IHL's expansion into larger markets and more directly challenging the AHL. The Lumberjacks did well in Cleveland, lasting nine season and making the playoffs six of those years. They had a number of pro affiliations during that time, which resulted in a lot of future big leaguers playing on their rosters including JP Dumont, Evgeni Nabokov, Markus Naslund, Marty St. Louis, and many more. Todd McLellan would even be the team's head coach in their final season. After 2000-01, the IHL shut down and the Lumberjacks went with it.

This would make a unique gift for the hockey fan in your life or a neat find for yourself of a vintage hockey team from Cleveland.
