This jersey is a classic from Erie, Pennsylvania and is a beautifully embroidered version of one the 1979-80 Erie Blades' home white jerseys. 

The Blades took up residence in Erie as the first pro hockey team in the city starting with the 1975-76 season. They would flourish in the late 70s, winning their league in the 1978-79, 1979-80, and 1980-81 seasons wearing orange, white, and black. 

This replica jersey is made to match the Blades' 1979-80 season home jersey as much as possible with current manufacturing processes. This jersey stands out, as the Blades wore an American flag patch over their right chest to commemorate the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. On February 8th, 1980, the Blades even hosted the Russian national team at Erie Fieldhouse in an exhibition, with the Russians winning 9-0. Of course, the Russians would go on to lose to Team USA in an upset for the ages on February 22, 1980. Notably, Val James was a member of the 1979-80 Blades.
